The Menendez Brothers Possible Release

On October 24, 2024 the L.A. County district attorney recommended that the Menendez brothers, Lyle and Erik, should be resentenced. He is recommending that their sentence should be changed to life in prison with the possibility of parole. If credit for time served is granted, they will be eligible for release.

Richard Allen’s Delphi Murders Confession

In court this week, the jurors heard the recorded phone call where Richard Allen confessed to his wife that he did murder Abby and Libby. Despite his confession, the jurors also heard a psychologist explain that Allen could be suffering from a serious mental illness that has caused him to falsely confess.

Sarah Boone, the Suitcase Killer, Verdict Reached

Sarah Boone has been found guilty of second degree murder. The state was able to prove to the jury that Boone acted with malicious intent in the murder of her boyfriend Jorge Torres back in 2020. Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 2.

DNA Evidence Submitted in Sandra Birchmore Case

Alleged killer Matthew Farwell was arrested on August 28, 2024, and now results from a DNA test are in. The results and the specifics of the evidence have not yet been released to the public. Prosecution plans to introduce the results along with expert testimony in the case against Farwell.

Mica Miller’s Husband Faces FBI Raid

On November 1, 2024 Mica’s husband, John-Paul Miller, was served a search warrant from the FBI. Several FBI agents were seen entering the home to collect evidence. They were there for five hours, but it has not yet been revealed what evidence was collected. He is currently being held for questioning.
